The Elite allows for uniform signal intensity from flowing fluid throughout the imaging volume and conspicuity of small vessel detail. The Elite's MR angiography (MRA), a non-invasive imaging method used to assess vascular conditions, has been proven effective in the evaluation of vascular disease without the discomfort and risk associated with using iodinated contrast agents and catheters used in conventional angiography. The Elite's MRA can be instrumental in the evaluation of acute vascular processes and acute head trauma during which time the earliest and most accurate diagnosis is critical. In addition, non-iodinated bolus inject studies are available for carotid arteries, renal arteries, and other vasculature if clinically indicated. This provides true lumen accuracy of the vasculature in question.
